Days of War opposes allied forces (American and Russian) to axis forces (German and British). Each of the forces have at least two dedicated official maps in which they participated during the World War II.

Classes

You can play six different classes in each faction:

  • Rifleman
  • Assault
  • Support
  • Sniper
  • Machine Gunner (MG)
  • Rocket

One of our community members (ChrisMo44) created a showreel of all classes from our 2.0 beta:

Rifleman

The rifleman is armed with a manual or semi-automatic rifle, making him the most versatile class of the game. Armed with a hand-held rifle is deadly at any distance, one bullet hitting the opponent in the chest or performing a headshot is enough to kill.

On the other hand, the rifles have a low firerate which is not always a great deal in combat.

The rifleman class is great for players who are confident with their aim.

Assault

The assault class puts pressure on the opposing team to allow his team to break through the enemy defense.

An assault player must be unpredictable and always moving on the map to prevent his own death.

Anyone who wants to be part of the action and help his team is well placed in the assault class.

Support

The ultimate hybrid class: support is the mix between assault and rifleman classes.

The recoil makes it more difficult than a rifle, however, his firepower allows him to be one of the most effective fighters on the battlefield.

Sniper

Every game needs a sniper, right? His rifle is equipped with a huge vision, making it the king of long-range clashes. The sniper always leaves an advantage over other classes, but is handled with care.

He is much more vulnerable and exposed at close range.

Machine Gunner (MG)

The MG is the central focus of a good structured defense. Equipped with a heavy machine gun, he is able to kill everything in a short and medium distance in his entire vision.

The con? He suffers from a very low mobility and is vulnerable to enemies who come near to him. Therefore it's essential for a MG to find the best places to hide.

Rocket

The rocket class equips the player with a portable rocket launcher that quickly kills a whole bunch of enemies. Once a rocket is fired the enemy has very little time to react and escape.

Instead of aiming at people directly, try aiming at the surface below them to invoke the most damage.
